Bento #4

Today’s bento was my breakfast bento. It was very simple and I must say very tasty. This bento consists of rice which is layered on the bottom. The rice was season with just salt, pepper and butter. Then the top layer consists of ground turkey seasoned with salt, pepper, seasoning salt, sesame oil and soy sauce. Next came the broccoli. I used frozen broccoli that I stir fried in a pan with butter until no longer frozen then taken out and chopped into smaller pieces then put back in the pan to cook a little longer. I like the flavor of the slightly browned broccoli. The eggs were supper scrabbled in the same hot pan after the broccoli. They were seasoned with salt pepper and dill. I don’t know I have just grown to love the taste of dill in my eggs. This was my micro-breakfast. I hope you like it.

Itadaki masu!

That is an awesome breakfast! I would love to make this in the morning, if I weren't so tired and grumpy! This will keep you going all day :)

Thanks Sheri for stopping. Yeah I started making breakfasts like this a few years ago. When I went back to school I needed something to get my brain flowing in the morning so I began having something like this or maybe chicken or fish instead of the turkey for breakfast with the rice, eggs and a veg. It worked out great and I was less hungry between meals.

Thanks Debra, yes I didn't think about it when I made the dish or wrote the post but I guess it is like soboro. When I saw your comment it jard a memory for me of a soboro bento I saw before. I guess it was embedded in my memory. Guess what it was one of Maki's, (bento No 18 I just looked it up). See how much influence she has had on my bento making subconscious. hee hee

Thanks Susan, I saw the container in the store and I remembered seeing one like it on Hapabento so I snatched it up and it's the perfect size for breakfast and it was perfect for this one.
