Bento #9

I’ve been busy lately so I’ve been keeping my bentos very simple. This one is from last week. The top part contains a simple turkey pasta salad with chopped spinach on top. The bottom part contains a strawberry fan, sliced bananas, blueberries and honey roasted almonds.

Itadaki masu!

Turkey pasta salad sounds yummy and the fruit arrangement with the strawberry flower is pretty! :D

Hi Susan, That turkey pasta salad is one of my staples. I can always go to it in a pinch. That fruit helped me so much because I am so longing for spring here in Michigan.

Hi Lia, That was my first strawberry fan ever. I think I did a good job. I lucked up and found some really big, sweet strawberries so it worked out great.

In about a month or two, we will begin to get the first of the season fresh strawberries from local farms (we go handpick often) that are just bursting with juice and have a flavor so much more believable than the store bought variety. Plus they are warm from the sun and drip down your chin when you first pick and eat them. I can almost taste them. And the best part is that when the strawberries are done, the peaches come out to play!!! Nothing like a Carolina Peach, Georgia can;t hang! =-) JK Georgia, you know you are on my mind! Lov ethe Bento boxes. I am going to whip up a few soon....

Hi Eric, thanks for stopping by my blog. I've been a little preoccupide with family thing the past few weeks so I haven't had much content let alone recipes or bentos posted. I was at your blog and I love it. I can't wait for more recipes to come although I am anticipating the Japanese and Korean ones. Can't wait to continue the adventure with you and the journey of food.
